Arts St George's celebrates 70 years of the NHS, 1948 - 2018

4th June 2018

To celebrate the NHS turning 70 this July, Arts St George's is pleased to host a special photography exhibition celebrating the history of St George's and Queen Mary's Hospitals.

Featuring photos taken at St George's and Queen Mary's from the early years of the NHS, the exhibition sees the archive photos recreated in a modern day setting. Each image shows a range of staff, patients and locations from the old St George's Hospital at Hyde Park Corner, taken in the late 1940s and 1950s, and a modern day recreation of the picture.

Thanks to both St George's and Queen Mary's Archives for helping to source the original images.

The exhibition runs from 28th June - 22nd July 2018, 8:00am-7:30pm.
